Ember Days after Pentecost

In the Traditional Catholic calendar, the 'Ember Days' are observed for particular sanctification of the seasons with the fast and abstinence during the third week of Advent, the first full week of Lent, the week after Pentecost, and the third full week in September. On Wednesday and Saturday the abstinence is only partial, meaning meat may be eaten at the main meal. Ember Fridays are similar to Good Friday's devotion, with fast and abstinence from all meat.
